I source yarn through various sustainable deadstock avenues, including online marketplaces, op shops, and textile factories. By working with existing materials, I aim to give forgotten fibres a new life while reducing reliance on newly produced yarns.
Every piece is created using fully fashioned, no-waste knitting techniques, ensuring I contribute as little as possible to the growing surplus of textile waste.
Because I work with deadstock materials, I can't always guarantee the exact fibre composition of every yarn. I carefully select each one for its quality, feel, and longevity, with a preference for natural fibres such as cotton and wool. Most bonnets are made using soft, lightweight cotton and wool blends for comfort and warmth.
Some pieces may contain small amounts of synthetic fibres (up to approximately 20% acrylic), depending on the available deadstock yarn. Every material is chosen intentionally, balancing sustainability, durability, and the tactile qualities that make each piece unique.

I make each piece myself in my home studio using a Singer Memomatic 301 knitting machine. Every thread passes through my fingertips multiple times, giving me full control over the making process from start to finish.
My practice is slow, hands-on, and deeply personal. I pour physical, mental, and emotional care into each piece, with the intention of creating work that uplifts and empowers individuals to express themselves freely and authentically.
Due to the nature of the making process, yarn variations, and hand-finishing, each piece carries subtle differences in texture, tension, and appearance. No two bonnets are ever exactly the same.

Each piece is handmade and should be treated with care to preserve its shape, texture, and sculptural detail. Due to the delicate nature of the knit, please cold hand-wash only when necessary. Do not use detergent or harsh chemicals, as this may damage the fibres and alter the finish of the piece.
Gently reshape while damp and lay flat to dry. Do not wring, twist, or tumble dry.
With time, the bonnet will naturally mold and shape to your head, becoming softer and more personalised with wear.

Each piece is made to order and handcrafted specifically for you, so I do not offer refunds for change of mind.
As every item is individually made, slight variations are part of the design process and should be embraced as a feature of its handmade nature.
If your item arrives damaged or there is a fault with your order, please get in touch so we can resolve the issue.
I do not accept returns on custom or made-to-order items unless they are faulty. Please ensure all details are correct at the time of ordering :)
